Caps and gowns must be worn by all in-person ceremony participants.  Please review the university’s Adornment Policy as it relates to regalia (cap and gown) during Commencement.  

We strongly encourage graduates to ship regalia to their current residence to limit the amount of traffic on campus per the university's health and safety protocols.

Here is some important information regarding ordering your regalia:

Bachelor’s degree:
You will be receiving regalia that will be yours to keep. Place your order via this website and have your regalia shipped to your home or shipped to Vanderbilt University for on-campus pickup.

Master’s degree:
You will be receiving regalia that will be yours to keep. Place your order via this website and have your regalia shipped to your home or shipped to Vanderbilt University for on-campus pickup.

Doctoral Degree:
There are three options available if you would like to receive your Doctoral regalia.

1. You can order your rental regalia and have it shipped to your home. In addition to the rental cost, there will be a refundable $300.00 hold fee charged. A call tag will be included in your package and when you are finished with the regalia you will mail back to Oak Hall no later than August 1st. Upon receipt of the regalia, we will issue a refund for the $300.00 hold fee charge. If it is not returned by August 1st you will forfeit the deposit.
2. You can order your rental regalia and have it shipped to Vanderbilt University for on-campus pickup.  Regalia can be returned to B&N on May 16th - 18th.  
3. You can purchase your fine quality Vanderbilt University regalia to be shipped to your home address.

Deadline for Bookstore shipping– April 4, 2021
The deadline to order your regalia is April 4, 2021.  Ordering late jeopardizes the appropriate delivery of your regalia.  Students MUST have regalia to participate in the ceremony without exception.

Regalia Pick-Up dates:

• May 11-14, 2021 at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore
• B&N operating hours, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
